TRT |Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Medically supervised testosterone assessment, laboratory testing and personalised hormone treatment for men.

Your Hormones Deserve More Than Guesswork.

Could Low Testosterone Be Affecting You?

Low testosterone can affect men in different ways, and symptoms may develop gradually over time. Some men notice changes in energy, sexual health, physical strength, concentration or general wellbeing. However, these symptoms can also have many other causes, which is why proper clinical assessment and blood testing are important before considering treatment.

✅ Reduced libido or changes in sexual wellbeing

✅ Persistent fatigue or lower energy levels

✅ Reduced muscle mass or physical strength

✅ Changes in mood, motivation or concentration

✅ Slower recovery or reduced physical resilience

✅ Changes in body composition or overall vitality

Experiencing one or more of these symptoms does not automatically mean your testosterone is low. A proper diagnosis requires clinical evaluation together with appropriate laboratory testing.

Your Testosterone Profile

Your Testosterone Profile brings together your symptoms, medical history, existing results and targeted laboratory findings to help build a clearer picture of your hormone health.

Where appropriate, the targeted blood panel may include:

FSH · LH · Free Testosterone · Total Testosterone · Cortisol

These results are reviewed together rather than in isolation. They help guide the clinical discussion around whether TRT may be appropriate and what the next steps should be.

Already have recent blood results? Bring them with you for review. If suitable testing has not yet been completed, the Testosterone Profile Blood Test can be added during booking.

The blood test can be performed on the same day as your consultation where the required timing and preparation conditions are met.

Frequently Asked Questions About TRT Therapy

What is Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)?

Testosterone Replacement Therapy is a medically supervised treatment for men with symptoms of testosterone deficiency together with appropriately confirmed low testosterone levels. Treatment is individualised and requires ongoing clinical monitoring.

How do I know if my testosterone is low?

Symptoms such as low energy, reduced libido, changes in strength, mood or concentration can occur with low testosterone, but they can also have other causes. Proper diagnosis requires clinical assessment together with appropriate laboratory testing.

What happens during the Testosterone Health Consultation?

The 30-minute Testosterone Health Consultation includes a discussion of your symptoms, medical history, current health concerns, reasons for considering TRT and any recent blood results you may already have. The consultation helps determine whether targeted blood testing or further assessment is appropriate.

How much does the TRT consultation cost?

The 30-minute Testosterone Health Consultation costs R550.

The consultation fee does not include laboratory testing, testosterone medication, testosterone administration or any subsequent TRT treatment.

What is the Testosterone Profile Blood Test?

The Testosterone Profile Blood Test is a targeted laboratory panel used to support the TRT assessment process.

The panel includes:

FSH · LH · Free Testosterone · Total Testosterone · Cortisol

These results are reviewed together with your symptoms, history and clinical findings rather than being interpreted in isolation.

How much does the Testosterone Profile Blood Test cost?

The optional Testosterone Profile Blood Test costs R850 and can be added during the booking process.

This is a targeted TRT-related blood panel and is different from the broader testing offered through Exodus Immunology’s separate Phlebotomy Services.

Can I have the blood test on the same day as my consultation?

Yes. Where the required timing and preparation conditions are met, the Testosterone Profile Blood Test can be performed on the same day as your consultation.

Because testosterone-related testing may have specific timing requirements, booking and preparation instructions should be followed carefully.

Does booking the consultation mean I will receive TRT?

Not necessarily. The consultation is the first step in determining whether TRT may be appropriate for you.

Depending on your symptoms, medical history, existing blood results and overall clinical picture, the practitioner may recommend further testing, proceed with the next stage of TRT assessment, or discuss another appropriate way forward.

TRT may be considered where clinically appropriate after consultation and review of the relevant findings.

Is testosterone treatment included in the online booking price?

No. The online booking covers the R550 consultation and, if selected, the R850 Testosterone Profile Blood Test only.

Any subsequent testosterone medication, administration or TRT treatment is determined after your results have been reviewed and is paid for separately at the wellness centre.

Is TRT a once-off treatment?

No. TRT is generally managed as an ongoing treatment programme rather than a single treatment.

Follow-up appointments are arranged according to your individual treatment plan, clinical response and monitoring requirements. Your source document likewise describes TRT as requiring regular follow-up and long-term care.

How often will I need TRT treatment?

Treatment frequency varies from person to person. Some patients may return weekly initially, while others may be treated at different intervals depending on clinical need and response.

Your ongoing schedule is arranged directly with the practitioner after the initial assessment and results review.

Where is the TRT service offered?

TRT consultations and associated in-clinic services are offered through Exodus Immunology in Sea Point, Cape Town.

That gives us a natural local-search mention without forcing “Cape Town” into every heading.

Can I book TRT online?

You can book the Testosterone Health Consultation online and optionally add the Testosterone Profile Blood Test during checkout.

Any actual TRT treatment is arranged after your assessment and laboratory results have been reviewed.
